uincy is a 2.5 year old Maltese cross, she was adopted by her new owners 3 months ago after being surrendered to an animal shelter.  She was slightly underweight when she first arrived but now is in excellent condition and health.  Unfortunately she suffers from separation anxiety.  Whenever she is left alone at home she barks constantly and scratches at the front door.  This has caused problems in that the neighbours have complained about the noise, she is in obvious distress and Quincy has damaged the door and worn down her front nails

Dr Chris has visited and recommended some strategies to try to reduce Quincy’s anxiety such as behaviour pattern modification and pheromone impregnated collars. This has certainly helped however he has also recently added some anti-anxiety medication to help in the short term while she re-adjusts to her new home and routine.
